Marius van der Riet
Is a husband of 53 years, a father and a grandfather. He is a retired senior infantry officer of the Defense Force of South Africa.
He is the retired founder and CEO of an international security and logistics company, a businessman, a mentor and a Christ follower. He was an operational Brigade commander, the Dean of a training academy, and the Defense Attaché for the Republic of South Africa in Washing DC. He was chairman of national and international committees and associations, was decorated with various medals and awards for operational and civil duty, including being awarded the Legion of Merit medal by the USA for his diplomacy role in the strengthening of relationships between South Africa and the USA.

Marius left South Africa with his family in 1994 and began a new life and career in the USA. He transitioned successfully into the business arena of the USA. He founded a security and logistics company with operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, Southern Sudan, Somalia and other countries. He spent much of his time in these countries growing the company into a multinational company with over three thousand people, protecting USA bases, assisting and advising fortune 500 companies and government agencies including the United nations, in operating successfully in very difficult environments. He is a managing member of a company in the senior living space, and he is on the board of organizations assisting veterans and assisting children in hard places.
As Chairman of the board of Prather Biomedical, he brings a skillset of senior leadership of large organizations, entrepreneurial management skills of creating companies from startup into successful large business and the knowledge of execution and management at high level.
Marius, lives in Florida, loves golf, tennis, kayaking, and horseback riding. He is involved with various men’s ministries.
